Fergg-Wehowsky talks about the “Last Prussian-Ländchen”-
a region in the north-east of the Czech Republik where she comes from, and
one of the region´s most remarkable personalities, Prince Carl Max
Lichnowsky, who thanks to his pacifist vision as the German ambassador to
London in the years 1912 – 1914 tried as the only German politician
to prevent war breaking out. The eventful history of the Hultschiner Ländchen
and Lichnowsky's role both in his 'Heimat' and in German foreign politics
